Cooney South is based in Holton Heath just outside Poole and Manufactures High-end Bespoke Stainless Steel and Aluminium Fabrications into to the Marine and Super Yacht Sectors, it works closely with its sister company Cooney Marine who are not only well respected within the marine industry but have been a leader in this sector for well over 50 years.
The vacancy available is for an Apprentice / Trainee Welder Fabricator specialising in TIG Welding Stainless Steel and Aluminium in our factory in Holton Heath, Poole.
Ideally the successful candidate would be just starting out in their career who is motivated, enthusiastic and results driven. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure is essential. This is a physical position and demands an efficient hard-working approach with a passion for quality.
As a recognised EAL Training centre all training will be delivered in-house while working towards a nationally recognised Qualification.
The training will include aspects of Welding and Fabrication, submitting Home- work within a set deadline along with completing workshop training activities to an achievable schedule. On completion of your training, you would be considered for an ongoing full-time position.

- Core Working hours: 7am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
- On-site parking is available.
Due to the location of Cooney South, you would need your own transport or an alternative way to get to the site.
